Explain the process that forms a normal fault and leads to an earthquake along the fault. describe the fault, the type of stress that produces it, and events that occur before and during the earthquake.

    The movement of tectonic plates causes the formation of faults. The plates are constantly is motion, When these plates move away from each other a fault line is formed where the distance between the two plates gradually increases over time forming a fault and can cause an Earthquake.
