Why does wood burn with a flame when it is a solid fuel

    1) Substances (Solid, Liquid, Gases) which produce vapors will burn with flame ... A yellow flame is produced during incomplete combustion of a substance. In Kerosene stove if yellow flame is observed then it indicates the incomplete combustion which may be due to the insufficient supply of oxygen gas. is it from researching so good luck : D
