Can helium pair up to become a compound? (ex: sodium and chlorine=sodium chloride)

    No, its very inert. It is in group 8/0 which means that it can't take of give up electrons very easily. Sodium chloride forms ionic bonds between group 7 and 1.

    Helium is a noble gas, and noble gases do not react with other elements. Therefore, helium will not form compounds
