Why is it that (Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pt, and Au) have a higher electronegativity than the elements around them? Breaking the common trends of electronegativity.

    They are transition metals that have half filled valence Orbitals because of which they can also have multiple ionic states due to this reason their electronegativity differs from their surround elements.
