Based upon your research, what concerns if any do you have with the consumption of genetically engineered plant and animal food products? Justify your response in two or more complete sentences.

    The consumption of genetically engineered plant and animal food is prone to causing food allergies and toxicity. Research suggests that some protein in foods cause allergies and genetically modified foods have altered proteins that can cause allergies. Toxicity is also an effect that genetically modified foods will have on us. GMO foods contain pesticides that are originally used for the crops, but they may also interfere with our consumption leading to toxicity.
