    First of all, lets get our equation for Kinetic Energy (KE).

    KE = 1/2 (mass) (speed) 2

    Now, replace the words by adding the actual values.

    KE = 1/2 (2 kg) x (45 m/s) ^2

    KE = 2025 J

    Answer: Kinetic energy = 2025 Joules
