What is the nuclear charge of an atom with a mass of 23 and an atomic number of 11?

    The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus. These are the only nuclear particles carrying charge; each carries a charge of 1 elementary unit.

    answer = 11 just because that is the amount of protons it has and therefore positive charge
