Why is air a mixture? I do not understand why air is a mixture. can you guys write a brief explanation about why air is a mixture, whether it is homogeneous or heterogeneous, and how it can be separated.

    Air is a homogeneous mixture, and it is a mixture because it consists of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases present in air. All of these gases mix together, and create something known as air.
