Reaction rates, given a chemical reaction, are measure of how the concentration of a certain specie would change in terms of time. Also, it is how a concentration of a reactant change in terms of the change of concentration of either product or reactant.

A is the answer. As component Z disappears, R is formed. The rate is 1/2.
