A 3.0 L container holds a sample of hydrogen gas at 300k. If the temperature decreases to 200k and the pressure remains constant what will the volume be

    We can apply Charles's law:

    V/T = constant

    V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂

    V₂ = 3 x 200 / 300

    V₂ = 2 L
