The amount of inertia an object has depends on its mass. The more mass an object has, the more inertia. Inertia is an object's tendency to do nothing.

    False:

Inertia is the idea of an object that is moving will want to stay moving, or resist a change in direction. Inertia is more dependent on mass than speed, since a heavier object (more mass) will have more inertia. Imagine a bowling ball and a tennis ball are rolling across the floor, and you have to shoot one with a dart to change their direction. Well of course the tennis ball is going to change direction easier because it has less mass, which also means it has less inertia.
