Why are leaves considered living things?

    They fulfill a characteristic of living things they have

    Respiration: Trees "breath in" carbon dioxide and breath out oxygen

    Sensitivity: They react to things around them

    Growth: Through photosynthesis and by absorbing nutrients, minerals and water through their roots, trees do grow

    Reproduction: They have pollen and seeds

    Excretion: They excrete oxygen
