Why is atmospheric pressure much lower on the top of a mountain than it is as sea level?

    Because the gravity levels decrese and so does the oxygen levels

    The atmospheric pressure lowers as you move up the top of a mountain because the air thins the air you go.

    So the weight of the air reduces, and the force the air is able to exert reduces and hence the atmospheric pressure reduces as well.
