How is diffusion used by cells? (Missed this lesson in school)

    Diffusion, put simply, is a way for things to move in and out of the cell. The cell uses diffusion to take in oxygen and glucose and push out carbon dioxide.

    When cells need to gain or get rid of certain things, diffusion is a form of passive transport that does not require a cell to expand any energy.
