    The chemical name of the table salt is sodium chloride with a chemical symbol of NaCl. If out of 6.1 g of table salt, 2.6 g of Cl was form, this means that 3.5g is Na. Then the percent composition of table salt is,

    Na = (3.5 g / 6.1) x 100% = 57.38%

    Cl = (2.6 g / 6.1) x 100% = 42.62%

    Thus, the percent composition of table salt is 57.38% and 42.62% of Na and Cl, respectively.
