Is it true that the compound with the formula CO2 contains three different elements?

    No, CO2, aka carbon dioxide, is made up of two elements, carbon and oxygen. It has three atoms in each molecule though, two oxygen (di means two, so dioxide) and one carbon.

    Yes that's right there is two types carbon and oxygen, three elements two oxygen one carbon
