    1hr = 60 mins

    If a cell undergoes cell division in every 5 min

    then

    1 cell = 5 min

    x cells = 60mins

    cross mutiply

    1 * 60 = x * 5

    60 = 5*

    Divide both sides by 5

    60/5 = 5x/5

    12 = x

    therefore the total number of cells after I hr is 12
