How did new technology contribute to the growth of the industrial revolution?

    New technology allowed for an almost-exponential increase in the amounts of goods that were able to be produced during the Industrial Revolution. By having and using the technology that was available at the time, goods were able to be made more quickly and much more cheaply. This allowed, over time, for newer goods to be produced at an even faster rate than previously.
