There are two different ways to cpoy and paste a formula. The first way is that you could simply highlight the text you wish to copy, right click, and click the option which reads "copy". Then, go to where you wanted to put it and right click again, but this time, press "paste". Another way is to highlight the text, and press the combination ctrl+c, and go to where you want to paste it, and press the combinations ctrl+v.
