When converting analog waves to a series of numerical values, the higher the sampling rate, the more accurately the original wave can be recreated. true false?

    Since analog waves are continuous, it would makes sense that increasing the sampling rate should make a representation more accurate since there is no discrete limit to how accurate a functional representation of such as waveform could theoretically be.
