There are two devices that used to perform the task of internet provision through satellite, first is Communication satellite and second is satellite modem.

Communication Satellite is used to send or receive data between server and client and Satellite modem is used for the transfer of data with high data rates using communication satellite. It convert the input data into radio signal and transfer to the satellite and vise versa in case of receiving data.
