Tony owns a special pet store that sells only snakes and elephants. Currently,

he has a total of 11 snakes and elephants in stock. The animals that he has

in stock have a total of 12 legs. How many of his animals are snakes?

    Snakes don't have legs

    Elephants have 4 legs each so

    12/4 = 3

    So 9 of the animals he has in stock are snakes because 3 of them are elephants
