Messages can be saved as drafts for many purposes, They can become a quicker method to send a message in emergency or on a specific occasion when we do not get time to write it. Drafts can also be saved for an alarm or memorial occasion. It can also be used when something suddenly comes in our minds and we do not want to forget it so we save it as a draft and can be used to share with friends later. But we should make sure that these drafts cannot be sent unless they are complete and the send button is not pressed.

Unless the message is complete and sent. You can save your messages as drafts to be completed and sent, or you can have your account do it for you automatically while composing the message. By default, draft messages are saved in your draft folder until you decide to send or delete them.
