As we know that for complete solubility of alloy the solute and solvent should have same valency. It means that the difference between valency should not be high. The radius of solute atom should not be too much high as compare to radius of solvent atom. Both solute and solvent should have similar electro negativity.

So chrome will be consider for making solid solution with gold.
