Rankine cycle is a power cycle. It is a real working cycle.

Generally, it has following components:

Feed pump : The process (1-2) is work input process.

Boiler : The process (2-3) is heat addition process.

Turbine : The process (3-4) is work output process.

Condenser : The process (4-1) is heat rejection process.
