    Answer: A square is transformed onto a rectangle by increasing its length and decreasing its other side by the same percentage amount.

    Explanation:

    On a basic note, both square and rectangle have similarity. They both have 4 sides. The difference is that a square has all sides equal but a rectangle has opposite sides equal.

    If we increase the length of two opposite sides of a square it will form length of a rectangle.

    Now, on decreasing length of two remaining sides of square, we will get two breadth sides of a rectangle.

    In this way, we can change a square into a rectangle.
