Romeo's banishment in the play Romeo and Juliet, lead Juliet to depression, however, the depression is miss taken by her family as they think she only grieves for her cousin Tybalt. It also makes her family want to quickly marry Juliet to Paris, which only increases her sadness. Romeo's banishment is the reason Juliet and Friar John came up with the plan to fake Juliet death. Clearly, the plans fail and lead to both Juliet and Romeo's death, all these events following Romeo's banishment.
