I would say that after looking at the context of a word, then the word meaning should be looked up in Google and also a dictionary to determine its' official definition ie its' literal meaning or its denotation. But as for the connotation, or the positive or negative meaning it may have, that probably has to come from how it is used ie how it is spoken and with what emphasis and also its context in print.
