Every action and choice you make changes the outcome of how your life will go. To defend this answer an example could be that you are going in for an important job interview that your career depends on, you have the choice to dress in sweatpants and a baggy shirt, or the work environment appropriate clothing. One choice will increase your likelihood of getting the job while the other will decrease it. The choice you make will effect the outcome it has in your future. You dont have complete control over how the decisions will change your life path but it can influence it. The middle ground would be being born with limitations to what you can do in life, there are things that are permanent that you can not change and determine how you will be your whole life and limit the paths you can take, but doesnt fully stop you from changing how your life path can go, meaning you can still determine your life path after birth no matter what is preset at birth.
