Answer: I do not see a choice for answers, but Don John is not too thrilled at having to conform to Don Pedro's expectations. He walks around, moping around, head hung low, and is not cheerful. He also is very negative. He thinks that if he cannot have something, then others should not have it too. He hates Claudio for being well loved; he is jealous. He wants to create problems for others. If he can't be happy, then why should anyone else? He resents Don Pedro, because he is successful. He lies to people, and creates gossip and problems for others. Shakespeare often used tragedy to explain a lot of his characters. The fact that he is only a step-child - actually turns him into a villian.
