Read this excerpt from The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton.

I had a long walk home and no company, but I usually lone it anyway, for no reason except that I like to watch movies undisturbed so I can get into them and live them with the actors. When I see a movie with someone it's kind of uncomfortable, like having someone read your book over your shoulder. I'm different that way.

What is a universal theme found in this excerpt?

A. Belonging to a community is important.

B. Being alone is not always a bad thing.

C. Family life is not always easy.

D. Hard work can overcome obstacles.

    Answer: B

Explanation: I would say it would be "B" because the sentence starts out as "I had a long walk home and no company" But the author didn't want the readers to think the person was just alone but rather uncomfortable "When I see a movie with someone it's kind of uncomfortable" It makes the reader realizes this person in the story is an introvert and there's nowhere in the story saying that is wrong. So "B" would be the best answer
