B: Moroccan Invaders ended the Songhai Empire in 1591 CE

    Explanation:

"Sunni Ali Ber" was the first king of "Songhai Empire". He expanded the empire, took control of important "Trans-Saharan" trade routes as well as other cities and provinces of "Mali". But this empire of peace and stability collapsed in late 16th century after the invasion of Morocco.

A civil war led to an opportunity for Morocco "Sultan Ahmed I Al-Mansur" to send army and conquer Songhai. "Askia Ishaq II" was the last emperor of Songhai then. Morocco wanted to invade their gold mines and Al-Mansur wanted to become the caliph of Sudan.
