    According to the theory of Thoreau, everyone has a right to obey something or disobey something based on his understanding and this is above the laws of state, a person can go against them if they don't feel right to him

    In his thesis, he supports his statement by referring to abolitionism. He states that people suffering from slavery had no obligation of paying taxes to state, and they should not wait to come in majority to fight against abolitionism rather they should raise voices against it
