What is the difference between the words "effect" and "affect"? Explain and give an example (s).

    Affect is usually a verb application and effect is a noun application.

    Explanation:

    For example, if I say that the hurricane had a disastrous effect on the town, the verb is had and effect serves as a noun. But if I say the hurricane will affect the town severely, affect is now the verb.
