    Run-on Sentence

    Explanation:

I often commit run-on sentence mistake while writing a long essay. I know a run-on-sentence occurs when two or more independent clauses are not joined correctly. Whenever I write two independent clauses I commit errors. For example:

Run-on Sentence: My teacher checked my essay he commented it was right.

Correct Sentence: My teacher checked my essay, and he commented it was right.
