Read the stanza from "The Battle of Blenheim."

I find them in the garden,

For there's many here about;

And often when I go to plough,

The ploughshare turns them out!

For many thousand men," said he,

"Were slain in that great victory.

What is the tone in the stanza?

    I believe it is sincere.

    Explanation: process of elimination

    It doesn't sound bleak or bitter and I'm pretty sure it's not matter-of-fact. I could be wrong.
