People tend to form a preconceived notion about things (one-way thinking) owing to their personal biases which could be either negative or positive that makes the decision unfair. The example provided here best demonstrates that a student must already have some personal opinions (prejudgment) of the best high school football team based on his likes or dislikes which may not necessarily be true. The other example of bias could be women are weaker than men as it displays a preconceived mindset that says that women are inferior to men.
