Is this sentence grammatically correct in English? If not, how can it be rewritten so that it's grammatically correct:

Shakespeare has written 37 plays.

    "William Shakespeare has written 37 plays."

    Explanation:

    If you just say "Shakespeare has written 37 plays." It's just saying that it can be anyone with the last name of Shakespeare has written 37 plays. So in order to make it correct, type the persons first and last name in order for the reader to understand who wrote 37 plays. Also, if it is not your own sentence you should put quotation marks before and after the sentence.
