The Cherokee attempted to adapt to " Western Civilization"

    Explanation:

The Cherokee nation developed a written language for their oral language. The Cherokee had a written constitution for their nation made of different tribes. The constitution was patterned after the US constitution.

The Cherokee published a newspaper and many of the Cherokee learned to speak English.

When the Jackson Democrats passed a law forcing the Cherokee off their land so that white settlers could take possession the Cherokee appealed to the US Supreme Court. This action showed how well the Cherokee had adapted to the Western Civilization of the United States
