Ovid - A Roman poet. He is often ranked as one of the three canonical poets of Latin literature. Now we analyze the phrase, "art hides his art"? we need to understand the background of this phrase so for that the explanation is given below.

    Explanation:

An artist Pygmalion who was in love with his creation " A marble statue". He was so attracted towards the statue that he believed that if this statue had life in it, it would really show off its worth by moving around, having jewelry on its body and being a symbol of art and beauty.

As he believed that the statue he has created is a piece of his art but what the statue holds for its self is also art but just because it does not have life the art it holds can not been seen. So, that's the whole meaning of the phrase that "art hides his art".
