What is the difference of Explicit vs Implicit in english

    Explicit is where something is specifically stated e. g. "John was very happy"

    Implicit is where you have to deduct something through the use of language or actions such as "a smile crept across John's face", so although you can tell he is happy, it never specifically states this.
