    J. Edgar Hoover, former director of the FBI, had put Angela Davis on the FBI's ten most wanted list 11 days after the accident which was on 7 August in 1970.

Angela was accused of weapon (guns) possessing and that they were registered on her name. She did not commit the crime, gun was stolen from her by Jonathan, George Jackson's younger brother who had smuggled guns into the courthouse and gave some of the guns to prisoners. When he was trying to escape with other people, guards have opened fire.

In that accident, four people were killed, including Jonathan and the presiding judge.

The problem with Angela Davis was because she was trying to hide when people were looking for her although she was not guilty. Guns were stolen from her and she did not know anything about the crime that Jonathan was planning.
