In Romeo and Juliet in act 2 scene 2, Romeo says

With love's light wings did I o'erprech these walls.

That means:

I Flew over these walls with the light wings of love. Stone walls can't keep love out.

The question is what language techniques did Shakespeare used here?

    He used personification to give the love wings which it doesn't have in real life

    He also used a metaphor to describe love as being something you can 'keep out'
