    Once she had idea of the previous information, she would have had to lay the guidelines, that is why she reinforced attempts however crude they were, and later she would incentivize better efforts.

    She would have had to determine who were the best student performers so as to incentivize them and show the rest of the class the goals that were expected and that everyone had a chance to reach.
