What is ironic about the title of the poem "Life is Fine"?

    Answer: The poem is considered ironic, primarily due to the author describing that life is so miserable, he attempts to kill himself by drowning himself in a freezing river. Afterward, he even thinks of jumping off of a tall building! Though, what makes it even more ironic than it already was; he just says "Life is fine!"
