    The chronological order is:

The Shah developed Western policies Citizens of Iran protested the Government Ayatollah Khomeini came to power Traditional laws were reinstated

    Explanation:

The Revolution in Iran took a serious toll on the Iranian Government at the time which was a monarchy. the revolution was characterized by series of events to overthrow the Monarch Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in 1979. the revolution started with a protest against the Government in 1977 because of the Shah had developed Western policies and the people didn't like the policies. this Revolution was also known as an Islamic revolution.

The main cause of the intensification of the protests in 1978 was the burning of the red box cinema which many believed was one of the main causes of the revolution proper that brought Ayatollah Khomeini into power as the leader of the Islamic republic that replaced the Monarchy.
