Why did Gandhi change his manner of dress?

    He wanted to wear something that would symbolize the masses he was hoping to represent. He decided on a simple dhoti and shawl. 'Such a radical alteration' Gandhi had mentioned in his writings. But not all his supporters agreed to this drastic change in his style of dressing.
