Explain why Marshall did not believe society could be separate but equal

    Answer: He did not believe in separate but equal because the black schools were apparently equal when a kid at a black school only had about 47 dollars spent on them per year. When on the other hand the whites got about 148 dollars a year. Also Marshall had won a few cases against Brown v. Board of education. Because separate but equal violated the 14 amendment. He also knew that it was injustice.
