My niece could not be persuaded that giving is as much joy as reviving. Is there an error

    The error is the word reviving. The correct word is receiving.

    To revive means to restore to life or consciousness, give new strength and energy to.

    To receive means to be given or presented with something.

    U. S. researchers found that the old adage 'it's better to give than to receive' is true. Spending money on other people in whatever form (gifts, charities or even in form of non-materialistic things such as time, attention or care), makes a person happier than receiving all of these above.
