What is the theme for icarus and Daedalus

    In my view, I would say the Obedience is the central theme to the story, followed by pride.

    Explanation:

    Daedalus had warned Icarus to not fly too close to the sun and not to fly to close to the waves, as the sun would melt the wax on the wings and the waves could plunge him in the water. Icarus, however, was way too enthusiastic about flying with his beautiful wings that he forgot his father's warning, resulting to his death.

    Another fact is that, back in the days, the Gods never liked it when mere mortals tried to do things that normally they couldn't do, here, flying. So, perhaps the Sun God, Apollo himself, punished Daedalus for attempting to fly by taking away his son.
